Will You Last?

“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

There is something to be said of stamina. I take that back: stamina pretty much speaks for itself. Stamina and perseverance are friends that keep you going, even when the going gets tough. No matter what you may face in this life, the Bible says that there are thousands of people who have faced it before you (1 Corinthians 10:13) and have left you an example to follow (Hebrews 11). The Bible is full of examples of men and women who have been helped through tough times by God.

So, how’s your stamina these days? If it’s low, make sure you’re getting the right fuel for the journey.
Read: stay intelligent about your faith and how it plays out in culture by reading the Bible (yes, the Bible has both faith and culture in it!).
Pray: stay connected to God through meditation and prayer.
Spend time with (Christian) friends: the world will beat you down. Get some people around you who God can and will use to carry you through the dark days.
These are wonderful ways to fuel yourself for the long road ahead! Also, you need to know that the only “way” is Jesus (John 14:6). If you’re going another way, you’ll end up lost. So, start the journey with Jesus and continue on with Him.

Blessings,
Joe
