Christianity Is Public

When Jesus was being questioned by the High Priest before He was unjustly condemned and crucified, He said, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret. Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them; they know what I said” (John 18:19-21). Jesus spoke and served people in public, for the world to see.

And the Apostle Paul, when he himself was on trial, said something similar to King Agrippa and Festus: “I am persuaded that none of these things has escaped his notice, for this has not been done in a corner” (Acts 26:26).

Christianity is public. It began publicly and it continues to be public, unless we are privatizing our faith. Let’s not break ranks and begin to do something that neither Jesus nor Paul ever intended to be done.

Blessings,
Joe
