In our current political climate, it’s acceptable to be raddled by one atrocity but not another, because, after all, that so-called atrocity serves some kind of purpose, be it animal rights, women’s rights, or whatever. But when did this severe imbalance occur?
When we jettison morals and principles, the things that regard and comprise our human nature, we begin to be tossed by every wind and wave (Ephesians 4:14). Instead of having a firm foundation on which to build a reasonable and moral life, we go with the flow, with whatever is popular, with what we feel, with whatever is convenient, often overlooking the matters of greater importance.
God is calling us to have principles that guide our lives, not to live a life that creates convenient principles along the way.
